Recreation Ground

The Fen Ditton Recreation Ground is located on Church Street.  There is a pavilion, a cricket pitch, several football pitches, a basketball court and a children's play area, plus plenty of grassland for playing or simply lounging about in the sun.

Recreation Ground Rules

Pedestrian access is at two points.  There is level access next to the cemetery entrance, from the higher part of Church Street.  Following the road further down the hill, there is a sloping access just past the riverside Plough public house.

Apart from its sporting and leisure uses, the 'Rec', as it's known locally, also hosts annual fireworks, occasional Ditton Day festivals, and provides car parking (by arrangement) for special events like the Dragon Boat Race. The Recreation Ground and Pavilion are available for hire: please contact the Parish Clerk for more details.

Although the Parish Council is responsible for maintenance of the lawns and hedges, use and maintenance of the Rec is the responsibility of the Fen Ditton Recreation Ground Trust, Charity Number 288528.  The Parish Council is the Sole Trustee.
