Tree planting in Fen Ditton - have your say    24 May, 2021

Over the last few years, trees in the village have been lost but not replanted in equal numbers. The Parish Council has agreed in principle to plant a number of trees around the village, both to help redress this loss and to 'do our bit' for conservation and climate change, and South Cambridgeshire District Council have agreed to plant trees at Wrights Close, Musgrave Way and the Ditton Lane car park.

Please click here to view the Parish Council's proposals for new trees at

  • Green End (verge at Osier Holt)*
  • The children's play area on the Rec
  • The cemetery
  • High Street (verge outside nos 29 and 31)*
  • Ditton Lane*
  • High Ditch Road (verge near nos 45 and 47)*

Letters have been sent to the households that would be most affected and the Council values all residents' opinions on the proposals - please send any comments to the Parish Clerk by 31st May 2021.

* Planting on these verges would be subject to permission from the County Council.
